Location: The Westin Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH
Description: The goals of this conference are to provide a forum for leading experts to discuss the molecular and cellular basis of LAM, to review the clinical management of LAM, and to present cutting-edge research. The specific aims are: 1) to discuss research developments in LAM, 2) to attract new investigators from parallel fields to LAM research, 3) to identify promising new LAM research directions, and 4) to educate patients and family members about research.

  • RDCRN 3rd Conference on Clinical Research for Rare Diseases, Tuesday, October 02, 2012
Location: Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center, Rockville, MD
Description: Clinical research in rare diseases presents a number of challenges and unique issues that are not usually considered in the training of clinical investigators through existing training programs. Goals of the conference include: direct instruction of trainees and new investigators in rare disease research methodology; development of a reusable curriculum/syllabus on rare disease research methodology; and stimulation of ideas regarding the unique issues facing investigators engaged in the study of rare diseases.

  • 2012 International LAM Research Conference , Friday, April 20, 2012 - Sunday, April 22, 2012
Location: The Westin Hotel, Cincinnati, OH
Description: Anticipated goals of this conference: to provide a forum for leading experts to discuss the molecular and cellular basis of LAM, review the clinical management of LAM, to present cutting edge research, to integrate concepts and to identify creative and innovative research directions.

  • 2011 International LAM Research Conference , Friday, April 08, 2011 - Sunday, April 10, 2011
Location: The Westin Hotel, Cincinnati, Ohio
Description: The goals of this conference were to provide a forum for leading experts to discuss the molecular and cellular basis of lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), to review the clinical management of LAM, to present cutting edge research, to integrate concepts, and to identify creative and innovative research directions.

  • 2010 NHLBI/LAM Foundation International Lymphangioleiomyomatosis Research , Friday, April 09, 2010 - Sunday, April 11, 2010
    Location: Westin Hotel, Cincinnati, Ohio
Description: The broad objectives for the 2010 LAM Research Conference were to review research developments in lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), attract new investigators to LAM research, identify promising new LAM research directions, and attempt to reach consensus on difficult clinical issues. The investigators thought that a 2010 LAM Research Conference was needed to sustain the momentum that has brought the LAM field from obscurity to trials based on molecular targets. The advances in understanding of the molecular and cellular basis of the disease have been remarkable, and the basic science community, the clinical science community, and LAM patients are all aligned to continue to address this problem in an aggressive, cooperative, and intelligent manner. They were confident that the 2010 LAM Research Conference would chart the course for new research directions in LAM, assist the clinical community in arriving at consensus on the optimal management of LAM, and provide hope to those affected by the disease.
