Support and advocacy groups can help you connect with other patients and families, and they can provide valuable services. Many develop patient-centered information and are the driving force behind research for better treatments and possible cures. They can direct you to research, resources, and services. Many organizations also have experts who serve as medical advisors or provide lists of doctors/clinics. Visit the group’s website or contact them to learn about the services they offer. I have just had surgery for this condition - I am 53 years old and have had hip pain in my right hip for 31 years. Finally it has been diagnosed and (hopefully) fixed. I have also had type 1 diabetes since I was 28. Are there any ideas about the cause of synovial chondromatosis? Do you think I will have a full recovery? I have some arthritis in the joint - will this resolve? See answer
