Siblings of people with achondroplasia who are of average height do not have an increased risk to have a child with achondroplasia. Those who do have an increased risk to have a child with achondroplasia are people who have the condition themselves and people of average height who already have one child with achondroplasia (there is a very small chance of having more than one affected child).
