How might periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical adenitis be treated?

Treatment options that have been successful in improving symptoms of this condition include: oral steroids (prednisone or prednisolone), tonsillectomy with adenoidectomy and cimetidine.[1]
