    Description: The 2016 Rare Disease Day at NIH will take place on February 29. The event, sponsored by NCATS and the NIH Clinical Center, aims to raise awareness about rare diseases, the patients they affect and the research collaborations that are addressing rare disease challenges. The day will feature tours, posters and exhibits, and presentations.

    Description: <p>Brett Kopelan, Executive Director of DEBRA of America, is proud to announce that the breadth of expertise and topics covered in the 'bench to bedside' programme has resulted in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) agreeing to provide funding for the conference. <br /> <br /> The conference will showcase the incredible strides over the last 3 years in the development of therapies and in the understanding of the disease in general. Speakers will focus not only on the basic science, but also on the translational work, new approaches to therapy, symptom relief, as well as clinical trial progress. </p> <p>While the conference is by invitation only, we are soliciting many up and coming researchers to present their work to the more seasoned EB community in hopes of having them continue the progress we have achieved.     Description: Conference organizers hoped that the 2009 IPCC scientific meeting would result in an effective plan for more patient-friendly and effective delivery to skin. The results of the symposium will be immediately applied to clinical trials and studies with patients.
