    Location: Pasadena, California
    Description: Studies on the sinusoidal cells are becoming increasingly important in diverse areas ranging from stem cells, liver development and regeneration, and the pathogenesis of liver diseases such as steatohepatitis, fibrosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) to therapeutic approaches including liver transplantation. The target audience was both established and junior investigators, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows who work in these multidisciplinary fields. The symposium helped develop constructive international collaborations that would result in true advantages for people with rare liver diseases.
