There is little information available about the long-term outlook (prognosis) for people with Mowat-Wilson syndrome. A few cases of death in early childhood have been reported. As of 2007, the oldest patient reported at that time was 30 years old. Because the severity and medical issues in each affected person varies, the prognosis for each person is different. We are unaware of reports in the literature that address the average life expectancy of affected people.
