Anticipated goals and use of results: The symposium has several goals: 1. To review the current development status and use of the personalized animal models based upon variety of animal species. 2. To evaluate the potential use of personalized animal models for translational medicine applications. 3. To develop a consensus and provide recommendations to the NIH regarding the potential strategic initiatives which would offer a valuable contribution to the field.
