Advances and Opportunities in Scrub Typhus Research

Saturday, August 15, 2009 - Tuesday, August 18, 2009
Hilton Head, SC

The purpose of this symposium was to foster interest in scrub typhus among investigators and to stimulate potential collaborations between laboratories and scientists working in endemic areas to help address the need for new diagnostics, vaccines, and therapeutics for an important yet underserved disease. Collaborations will also be encouraged on the natural history of O. tsutsugamushi transmission.
